PIMFA Webinar: What Senior Managers Need to Know in 2027 – Financial crime. Cyber risk. AI. Customer outcomes.

What to know, what to challenge, what to evidence.
Book Now

At its annual October public meeting, the FCA set out what it is looking for in 2027. Your board will expect you to know. If the FCA comes asking, you will need to show what you did about it. Nigel Sydenham and Peter Haines of CCL Academy take those messages, along with recent portfolio letters and multi-firm reviews, and turn them into a short list of priorities for early 2027.

Each topic is tested against three questions:

  • What should you know
  • What should you challenge
  • What should you be able to evidence?

Over 60 minutes, we’ll cover:

  • Financial crime: Are your controls keeping pace?
  • Cyber risk and resilience: Could you withstand disruption, and explain your response afterwards?
  • AI: Who owns the risk when a model shapes a decision?
  • Consumer Duty: Can you prove outcomes are improving, not just being measured?
  • Culture and governance: Does challenge lead to action?
  • Personal accountability: What do “reasonable steps” look like after the SMCR reforms?

You will leave with:

  • A shortlist of 2027 priorities for your firm
  • The questions to put to your first line, risk and compliance teams
  • A view of the evidence the FCA would expect to see

Who should attend?

Senior Managers, board and executive committee members, and leaders in compliance, risk and operations who want to go into 2027 knowing their priorities and able to evidence them.
