PIMFA's response to Evaluation of the Retail Distribution Review and the Financial Advice Market Review Call for Input. Whilst we feel that the introduction of the RDR in particular has had a positive effect, issues remain, such as; the Regulator needs to understand the impact of regulation on firms and their ability in turn to service existing and prospective clients; balance needs to be found between protecting consumers and ultimately excluding them from advice altogether and the need to review the FSCS levy
