PIMFA's response to ESAs’ Joint Consultation Paper concerning amendments to the PRIIPs KID (JC 2018 60), where we express the view that, although we welcome the fact that the ESAs have recognised and sought to address a number of the most significant issues that currently bring the credibility of the KID into question, we believe that the ESAs’ consultation exercise is misconceived, a “sticking plaster” that can neither hide nor address the fundamental flaws of the regime as a whole
