Overall, PIMFA consider that the UK government needs to develop a Taxonomy as a common framework for investments that is science-based, effective, practicable and environmentally sustainable. However, it will be important that any UK Taxonomy is proportionate and consistent with other relevant existing regulatory initiatives and frameworks, thereby reducing the risk and operational burden placed on firms
