PIMFA response to HMT consultation on regulating ESG ratings providers

PIMFA’s Consultation Response to HMT consultation on Future regulatory regime for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) ratings providers. ESG considerations are becoming more deeply embedded in the investment decision making process but unreliability and lack of transparency in ESG ratings has been among the main challenges for PIMFA member firms in formulating an accurate and reliable picture for clients and achieving desired outcomes, according to PIMFA's recent survey into client and investor sentiment
