PIMFA delighted to announce shortlist for inaugural Diversity & Inclusion Awards

PIMFA, the trade association for wealth management, investment services and the investment and financial advice industry, is delighted to announce the shortlist for it’s inaugural Diversity & Inclusion Awards (see below)

Launched earlier this year and opening to entries in May, PIMFA’s industry awards received close to 100 entries and come at a time when the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has made clear diversity and inclusion within financial services is a key area of focus and could even become a regulatory matter in the future.

Liz Field, Chief Executive of PIMFA, commented: “I’m absolutely delighted both by the quality and the number of entries we have had to our first Diversity & Inclusion Awards and wish to congratulate all those firms that have been shortlisted and thank all those that submitted an entry this year.

“That so many firms and individuals have taken the time to demonstrate the work they are doing to improve Diversity & Inclusion across our industry is proof that this is an issue that is being taken seriously by all of us, large and small. There are some truly great D&I initiatives out there, so it was not easy for our judges to select those organisations and people for each shortlist.

“It has been really heartening to see so much effort going into making our industry as diverse and inclusive as it can be and we should shout about it.  PIMFA’s Diversity & Inclusion Awards will aim to continue to celebrate those people, and those organisations, that are working hard to ensure our industry better represents the wider society it aims to serve, and we will share the approaches so that we can all learn a little and adapt for our own organisations.  We are all on a journey and there is no one approach as our award entries show but as an industry, we are making great strides to equip ourselves for a diverse and inclusive future.”
