Following the Financial Advice Market Review, the Financial Ombudsman Service is running a series of roundtable discussions for financial advisers. These build on our on-going engagement with businesses and trade associations – helping us to share our insight and hear businesses’ perspectives on the ombudsman and wider issues within financial services. The next roundtable will be in London on 21 August.

The discussion will cover our approach to resolving complaints – including how we can work together to resolve problems early on. The session will also aim to answer advisers’ specific questions about issues ranging from insistent clients and suitability reports, to the service’s funding and ombudsmen’s decisions.

The event in London will be hosted by the chief ombudsman and chief executive, Caroline Wayman, and a representative from the Financial Conduct Authority.

If you’re interested in attending this roundtable, please register your interest on the events pages of the ombudsman website – http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/news/events-industry.htm.
