The world is changing. Investors are changing too. They are now making impact investments to unleash the power of conscientious capital. Since 2012, Impact Investments have grown by 107% and now account for over 18% of assets under management*. Another aspect to this is the role of the millennial investors, who will receive more than $30 trillion of inherited wealth in the coming years, and, they want a place to put it. Therefore, the impact investment market will continue to grow to meet this demand.

In partnership, Philanthropy Impact and IIN, presents an event which will explore the role the UN Sustainable Develop Goals play in the impact investing arena. The main focus will be on goal number three “Good Health and Well-Being for People” and goal number seven “Affordable and Clean Energy”.

An expert panel will look at what steps have been taken in the investment sector and what more can be done to harness the opportunities available. Some of the questions to be addressed are:

– what role impact investing can play in achieving these goals and building a sustainable future?
– how can impact investors utilize the SDG framework to address global issues?
– what are the opportunities, difficulties and issues in doing so?

Chair: Richard Brass, Head of Wealth and Asset Management UK, Berenberg
Panel: David Connor, Founder, 2030hub; Martin Ewald, Managing Director & Head of Investment Strategy, Infrastructure Equity, Allianz Global Investors; John Elkington, Chairman & Chief Pollinator, Volans.
