Continuing its efforts to accelerate DMARC adoption through advocacy and practical solutions, the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) is pleased to offer a second round of its 2020 DMARC Bootcamp.
In July and August, GCA and its partners will organize two pre-bootcamp webinars to set the scene by discussing the latest threats and trends in phishing and BEC. On July 14, Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit will share their perspective on Fighting Cyber Crime including BEC. On September 1, APWG will share their insights on phishing, the most widespread form of e-crime.
Beginning September 15, GCA will conduct five weeks of online technical training and provide resources focused on what DMARC is and how to implement it. The technical training will be preceded by two general sessions on the threat landscape and role of DMARC.
The bootcamp comprises weekly, one-hour online technical sessions, targeted to all IT and security practitioners. We will cover the basics of SPF and DKIM and options of performing DKIM key generation and signing. We will discuss each of the tags for a DMARC policy and provide a demonstration of how to create the DNS records for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC on several systems.
By the end of the bootcamp, participants will have enough information and confidence to move to the highest DMARC policy level of ‘reject’ immediately or within a few months.
